About
Phoenix Nadie
Phoenix Nadie is the artist, jewelry designer, and energy practitioner behind The Copper Shaman. With over two decades of experience and a lifelong devotion to creative practice, Phoenix creates wearable talismans, ritual objects, sound, and art shaped through organic form, copper, stone, and intentional process.
The Artist’s Path
A Lifelong Practice Of Art
Art has been Phoenix’s first language since childhood — a way of observing, understanding, and responding to the world. Over time, this creative impulse evolved naturally through drawing, making, and material exploration.
Jewelry emerged as an extension of this practice as Phoenix began studying minerals, metals, and the subtle relationship between form, structure, and intention. Copper and stone revealed themselves not simply as decorative materials, but as collaborators — shaped by time, pressure, and transformation.
Integrating Energy and Craft
To deepen the relationship between art and intention, Phoenix pursued formal training in energy work, becoming a Reiki Master and Teacher. This practice refined an intuitive understanding of flow, balance, and presence — principles that now guide every stage of creation.
Rather than separating craft and energy, The Copper Shaman integrates both. Each piece is formed slowly, with attention to material intelligence and movement, allowing the work to emerge through process rather than force.
Experience, Teaching, and Practice
Phoenix’s work has been featured in news publications and televised segments, exhibited in museums, and showcased in runway shows. Alongside creating, Phoenix has taught classes and workshops, sharing both technical skill and creative philosophy with students and communities.
These experiences, combined with a deep respect for global artistic traditions and ancient symbolism, have shaped a body of work that bridges contemporary studio jewelry with ritual object-making, sound, and healing practice.
The Evolution Of The Copper Shaman
A NEW CREATIVE EVOLUTION
The current body of work represents a refined and intentional evolution in Phoenix’s artistic journey. The jewelry now embraces an organic, biomorphic, talismanic approach rooted in contemporary and avant-garde studio practice.
Rather than forcing rigid symmetry or conventional settings, each piece is guided by natural flow — allowing form, structure, and movement to emerge intuitively.
Patterns and shapes found in nature serve as the foundational language of this work. These forms are understood as the building blocks of life itself — echoes of growth, balance, and transformation. By pairing intentional structure with carefully selected minerals, copper, plants, and sound, each creation becomes a naturally formed sigil: an object designed with purpose, presence, and meaning.
The Emblem
The Copper Shaman emblem functions as a sigil — an intentional mark representing the convergence of material, energy, and presence. Circles symbolize the vessel and the energetic field, while the central mark represents the act of conscious creation. The orbiting points reflect the elements of practice — material, energy, intention, time, and the body — held in balance.
